“My curiosity lies in understanding how organizations and processes actually function. In various environments, I see that a great deal of energy goes into solving visible problems, while the underlying causes are not sufficiently clearly identified. For me, improvement starts with understanding that core, so that targeted choices can be made and improvements are sustained in practice.

I work from a combination of analysis, data, and conversations with people in the organization. By first gaining a solid understanding of how processes are structured and where tensions or bottlenecks arise, it becomes possible to act pragmatically and purposefully. This way of working fits environments where speed is required and where improvements need to be visible on the shop floor.

Within XTR Operations, I initially focus on process improvement. This aligns well with my education and the experience I have built up so far. At the same time, I want to further develop myself within the broader domain of operations, with the aim of eventually also contributing to strategic issues and translating these into execution and implementation.

Diederick completed his MSc in Management at Nyenrode Business University, where he was admitted after winning a scholarship through a consultancy assignment. Prior to his master’s, he worked at Eraneos (formerly Quint) in a coordinating and supporting role, in which he was involved in a wide range of internal processes, planning, and execution. In this role, he gained broad experience in supporting change initiatives and in how organizations function behind the scenes.

He was born and raised abroad and has spent most of his life in international environments. Even before his bachelor’s degree, he lived and studied outside the Netherlands for several years. This background has taught him to adapt quickly, observe keenly, and clearly distinguish between what people state explicitly and what is implied. In complex and results-driven environments, this helps him collaborate effectively and quickly get to the core of the matter.”
